Extract Brewing

In this hands-on class, we’ll be dividing the class into 4 teams, and each team will brew one of 5 provided recipes. Each batch is 1.5 gallons, yielding about sixteen 12 ounce bottles of beer.  We’ll be brewing using home brew equipment and techniques for extract-based beer. For an additional nominal charge, the team can take their beer home with them in the provided 2 gallon fermentor. Or once the beer is ready (after a week or two), the students can return to bottle the beer. Class includes beer samples, snacks,  and a copy of the lecture notes. Class duration is about 4 hours and is $60 per person. Class is limited to 12 students.
